Jaclyn Griseta Trains in Lyon, France as a Part of Adidas Generation Select Team!
It is always great to hear about RHSC success stories and this one from Jaclyn Griseta about her trip with Generation Adidas is no different!
Jaclyn Griseta of the U17G OPDL team was selected to go abroad to train with the French Olympique Lyonnais Academy, and from what we can tell she had a great time. Below is a short statement from Jaclyn recapping her time in Lyon.
Wow…That was an experience I’ll cherish forever!!
Being selected to play and train in Lyon France at the Olympique Lyonnais (OL) Academy and having the opportunity to represent Canada this summer as a member of the Adidas Generation Canada Select 2019 team made possible by Adidas Generation, Soccer X and the Richmond Hill Soccer Club was an amazing experience, inspiring my passion for the game. I didn’t want it to end!
Training at the OL Academy with selected players from across Canada and the U-19 OL academy players and coaches was great! Academy training was intense, and nothing short of professional. I immersed myself in the program, taking the opportunity to learn as much as I could in a professional environment. The soccer “Euro style” from Lyon coaches, at one of the best women’s soccer clubs in Europe, was fantastic!
The connections and friendships I made – unforgettable, the sightseeing from the historic sites of Lyon to the Olympique Groupama Stadium was spectacular, et les croissants étaient délicieux !
Meeting some of the Lyonnais players like our Canadian Kadeishia Buchanan, Golden Ball winner Ada Hergerberg from Norway and Lucy Bronze from England was especially thrilling and inspiring for me.
I want to extend a Big Thank You to my coach Colin Francis, and RHSC for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime!!
