RHSC's Rick Singh and Bob Munro Honoured by the YRSA
Richmond Hill Soccer Club's Head Referee Rick Singh and Technical Director Bob Munro were both honoured by the York Region Soccer Association. The pair were honoured during the YRSA's annual holiday dinner for their career accomplishments and contributions to the sport. Rick was announced as an inaugural member of the YRSA Hall of Fame, while Bob was awarded with the 2013 YRSA Meritorious Award.
Rick Singh has been an integral part of Richmond Hill Soccer Club for many years, serving as the club's Head Referee since 1988. He plays an active role in referee education and training, and is the Director of the York Region Referee Association's Mentor Program. Rick's passion for the game of soccer and commitment to mentoring young referees is what makes him so special.
Bob Munro has been Richmond Hill Soccer Club's Technical Director since 1996, and has been an essential part of improving and expanding the club through both player and coaching development. Bob is also currently a Learning Facilitator for the Ontario Soccer Association, where he is able to share his wealth of knowledge and experience with coaches from across Ontario.
This wasn't the first time Rick and Bob received awards this year for their achievements, as the pair were honoured in April by the Ontario Soccer Association with Centre Circle Meritorious Awards. The Centre Circle Award is the OSA's highest level of recognition as it is presented to those who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to soccer development in Ontario.
A massive congratulations to Rick and Bob for their accomplishments and many years of service, hard work, and commitment to both Richmond Hill Soccer Club and soccer across the province.
