Carl Horton Appointed as New Technical Director

Richmond Hill Soccer Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Carl Horton as the club’s new Technical Director. Horton comes in with valuable experience having worked in England and the US before moving to Canada.

In the recent years, he took on the roles of Technical Director, Coach Development and Youth Program Manager at various clubs in Ontario. In 2014, Carl was assigned as the Regional Manager of Player Development at Ontario Soccer providing technical leadership and guidance for the ongoing implementation of Long Term Player Development within grassroots and youth level soccer in Ontario.

Horton currently possess a Canadian ‘A’ License, FIFA Grassroots Coaching Diploma, US Youth License and NSCAA Regional Diploma. Carl has also spent the last 15 years as a Master Learning Facilitator and Evaluator delivering Community courses, CSA C license as well as CSA National B part 1 courses across Ontario.

Carl’s goal are to consistently deliver a professional development environment which maximizes coach and player’s engagement in a challenging and fun atmosphere regardless of gender, age group, or player’s ability. Richmond Hill Soccer Club is thrilled to have such an experienced staff added to the club’s Technical Department.
