Summer 2020 House League/ Development Cancellation

Hello RHSC Community,

We hope you are keeping well and staying safe!

At RHSC we recognize that if soccer can resume this summer, it will not be the same program for which you enrolled. Additionally, we must consider the safety of all our participants as a priority in all decisions we make. The combination of facility closures, government regulations and our community responsibility have led us to the difficult decision to cancel our House League and Skills Development programming this summer.

RHSC, as a not for profit organization, operates primarily on player registration fees. At the time social isolation protocols were put in place, we had already committed significant resources towards preparation for the summer season. This includes purchasing uniforms and equipment, and paying credit card fees for registrations. RHSC is stable but will experience significant financial impact as a result of the decision to cancel. We are asking our players to help support the Club by contributing all or a portion of your fees to the Club, or by leaving your fees as a credit on your PowerUp account.

Here are three (3) financial options you can proceed forward with:

The Richmond Hill Soccer Club is a not-for-profit organization. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we face a number of challenges, as do members of our community who enroll in our programs. Your contribution will directly support the Club and allow us to continue the future planning of programs for all of you to enjoy! You can select either A or B:

A. You can contribute the full amount to the Richmond Hill Soccer Club.
B. You can contribute a portion of the full amount to the Richmond Hill Soccer Club.

2)      CREDIT:
You will receive a credit on your PowerUp account to use against another program in the future.

3)      REFUND:
You will receive a full refund via cheque or refund back to your online credit card on file. Due to the volume of registrations, it will take up to 3 weeks to receive these funds back.

Please complete this Google Form to submit your response on how you would like to move forward with your funds by Sunday, June 21, 2020. If you are responding after the listed date, then please email Stina Markou (stina@richmondhillsoccer.com) with your response.

Once we can be sure we are able to offer safe programming for our participants, we will release a list of new programming options for our players. These programs will include safety protocols as recommended by medical professionals and approved by the Government of Ontario, Canada Soccer, Ontario Soccer and the City of Richmond Hill.

While we wait for this information, we are happy to announce that we will be continuing online virtual training for all of our participants and their family members! The rest of the month of June will be FREE, so make sure you check your emails to register weekly.

We appreciate all of your continued support and understanding during these challenging times. We hope to see you on our virtual sessions over the next few weeks! Make sure you RSVP when you see the emails come through.

All the best and stay safe,
