House League is a community-based recreational league open to all players of any skill level and ability. Our House League program is strategically designed to offer fun and excitement to children in a team format, while supporting a healthy and active lifestyle for all players. The program is aligned with Long Term Player Development (LTPD) guidelines put forth by Ontario Soccer, ensuring players get enough touches on the ball and are able to truly enjoy the beautiful game!
Players attend one session a week, with 10 to 14 sessions per season. Coaches in the program are volunteers from our community, who are supported both on and off the field by our Club's Technical Coaching Staff. Outdoor youth sessions include a 30 minute warmup followed by a game against another in-house team. Indoor sessions are one hour with a short warmup before the game. Our House League program has divisions for players from 6 years old to adults!
The Club's online system offers our members a Family Calendar that is tailored to your family's schedule. To access your Family Calendar, log into your member registration account and click on the Family Calendar icon on the left side.
In alignment with LTPD, RHSC has recently made various improvements to our House League. To view a list of these program updates, click here.
Richmond Hill SC Game Leader
What is a Game Leader?
A Game Leader is a new Long Term Player Development (LTPD) Technical program being delivered by Ontario Soccer.
The objective of the Game Leader program is to allow for an improved, child friendly approach to supervising small sided games for children U6-U8 and creating more opportunities for parents to get involved. The Game Leader program has been designed by Ontario Soccer Grassroots, Referee and Coaching departments. It is supported and endorsed by the Canadian Soccer Association.
The Game Leader will be trained to achieve a few objectives on the field:
- Enable children to have a fun and rewarding experience while competing in small sided games.
- Ensure player safety.
- Implement simplified rules while keeping the game moving -- limiting stoppages and assisting the young players with all restarts.
The Game Leader can be a club representative, coach, parent or a beginning or senior referee who has been selected by the club or district to participate in the Game Leader Instruction program.
