2011 Girls Advance to OPDL Cup Final

The Richmond Hill Soccer Club 2011 Girls OPDL team is headed to the OPDL Cup Final after an outstanding 5-1 semifinal victory over West Ottawa Soccer Club in Ottawa.

The impressive performance capped another milestone in what has already been a remarkable season for the Raiders. Throughout the year, the squad has consistently demonstrated its quality, resilience, and commitment to development, establishing itself as one of the top U15 teams in Ontario.

Now, the team has the opportunity to complete its incredible cup run with provincial silverware as they prepare to face Woodbridge Soccer Club in the OPDL Cup Final. The championship match will take place on Sunday, August 9, with kickoff scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre.

The Raiders earned their place in the final with a dominant semifinal performance, defeating West Ottawa 5-1 on the road. Playing with confidence from the opening whistle, the team controlled the match in both possession and attack, creating chances throughout while showcasing the quality that has defined their season.

Their success has extended well beyond the OPDL Cup. Richmond Hill became the first team in the U15 Girls division to officially clinch a place in the OPDL Premier Division, where they will now compete for yet another provincial title later this season. The Raiders currently sit first in the U15 Girls East standings with an outstanding 8-1-0 record, collecting 25 points while scoring 41 goals and conceding just 11.

Several players have also earned provincial recognition throughout the year, with Victoria Costa, Harper Tudor, Harlow Stockwell, Victoria Wright, Fiona Smith, Chloe Lee-Wing, and Sophia Maduri previously selected for Provincial Screening. Victoria Wright and Fiona Smith were later named to the Ontario Provincial Team, highlighting the strength of the club's player development pathway and the quality within this talented group.

Now, just one match stands between the Raiders and an OPDL Cup championship. The RHSC community is invited to come out and support the team as they compete for provincial glory.
