2012 Girls OPDL Crowned Champions at Top Rated Super Cup

Richmond Hill Soccer Club is proud to celebrate our 2012 Girls OPDL team after an outstanding weekend at the Top Rated Super Cup, where the squad captured the Super Black Division title with an undefeated record.

Led by Head Coach Laura Gosse and Assistant Coach Hajra Khan, the girls showcased strong attacking play and disciplined defending throughout the tournament, conceding just two goals across all matches.

RHSC opened the group stage with a dominant 4-1 victory over Rush Canada before following it up with a 3-0 win against Whitecaps London. The team secured a perfect 3-0 group stage record after earning a 2-0 forfeit victory over Waterloo United, booking their place in the championship match. In the finals, the girls capped off their impressive weekend with a 3-1 victory over North Mississauga to secure the championship trophy.

The tournament win marks another important milestone for a team that continues to grow and develop early in the OPDL season. After two league matches, the 2012 Girls currently sit in the middle of the U14 Girls East OPDL table and will look to build on this momentum moving forward.

Their next OPDL league match takes place this Sunday, May 24th against Whitby FC at the Telus Dome in Whitby.
