RHSC's Victoria Wright Joins AFC Toronto Academy

Richmond Hill Soccer Club is proud to announce that Victoria Wright, captain and centre-back of the club’s 2011 Girls OPDL team, will continue her soccer journey with the AFC Toronto Academy.

Victoria’s move marks an exciting next step in her development, recognizing the hard work, dedication, and commitment she has demonstrated throughout her time with the Raiders. As a leader on and off the pitch, she has played an important role in the success of the 2011 Girls OPDL team, helping guide the group to a third-place finish in the OPDL Premier Division and an OPDL Cup championship in 2026.

Operating at centre-back, Victoria has consistently demonstrated exceptional one-on-one defending, strong game awareness, and natural leadership. Her ability to defend in challenging situations and support her teammates has made her a valuable member of the squad and an important part of the team’s achievements this season.

Victoria’s success extends beyond club competition. In April 2026, she was named to Ontario Soccer’s U15 Provincial Xcel Team, earning the opportunity to represent Ontario alongside some of the province’s top young players. The Provincial Xcel program provides a high-performance environment focused on talent identification, development, and competition, serving as an important part of the pathway for players aspiring to reach the highest levels of the game.

Her selection to the Provincial Xcel Team, combined with the success she has enjoyed with RHSC, reflects the dedication and determination she brings to her development as a player. These accomplishments represent important milestones in her journey and provide a strong foundation as she takes this next step.

Everyone at Richmond Hill Soccer Club is incredibly proud of Victoria and the progress she has made during her time with the Raiders. We are excited to see her continue her development at the AFC Toronto Academy and look forward to following her journey in the years ahead.

Congratulations, Victoria! We wish you every success in this exciting new chapter and hope to see you representing Canada on the international stage in the future.

Once a Raider, always a Raider!
